Hi, this is my last year built kit.  It is the Tamiya 1/48th P-51D Mustang, built as 361st FG 375th FS flown by Urban L. Drew.  There are 3 more scheme that this Tamiya bring but I finish it with D-Day Invasion stripe scheme.  Actually I wanted to build the famous "Petie 2nd" but I'm too lazy to mix colors to get the right blue nose.  Then I chose aother scheme but I accidentally made a mistake with the nose color stripe, so as the deadline was near, I then decided to correct it by choosing the last scheme.  The BMF also give me trouble as my airbrush always sprays water that ruins the look.  No choice had to it sand down and repaint the affected areas and make the silver look smooth again.

Those invasion stripe I painted using an airbrush, it's more confident for me to spray it rather than using decals as provided.  Make a lite wash using oil color, little touch up and there you go.. It's done lastly.

As those troubles that I experienced, it's really worth it as she became the winner in a "Mustang" competition in my home town.
