Here is my first completion for 2010. Tamiya 1/48th F4U-1 Corsair with scratch built seatbelts/buckles and brake lines. The engine is wired. Retracted flaps are from Ultra Cast. MV lenses were used for all lights except white light on spine and the wingtip navigation lights, which are painted Tamiya clear colors over a silver base. The main colors are Model Master Enamels, Blue/;Gray over Medium Sea Gray.

Weathering was accomplished by varying intensity of colors while air brushing, lead pencil for panel lines, and eye shadow make up for fading, exhaust and gun smoke stains. National markings are from Yellow Wings decals, while "15"s are Woodland Scenics rub ons. Wing no step lines are also Woodland Scenics rub ons. Wing walks are painted.

Airplane name, "Daphne C", was hand painted, trying to match the rough painted style of the original.  Airplane was flown by USMC Lt James Cupp, Solomon Islands, 1943.
