As a final production version of the TU-142, which emerged from the TU-20/95 was made by Tupolev Design Bureau, Kuibyshev Aviation and Taganrog Machinery 1968-1994 TU-142MR. It serves the Russian Navy as a long-range communication aircraft to route messages between submarines, satellites and aircraft and ground-based command posts. For this purpose, they used a long trailing wire antenna, which is located on the lower hull. Currently these machines are stationed on the Fedotovo Air base near Kipelovo.
My model is from Trumpeter and presents the Black 15 the 135th Long Range Anti-Submarine Aviation Regiment. The construction went well so far,
main problems were only in the area of all the engine nacelles. Changes I made to the oars, which were shown knocked out and chassis by fitting lines. More pics under http://strykers144.jimdo.com/gallery/tupolev-tu-142mr-15/ Björn Leichsenring
