Some times you can go to a hobby show and great some really good deals. This years HeritageCon in Hamilton Ontario (Canada) was no exception. Run by a well known guy who used to hang around ARC until he joined the dark side and models only cars, HeritageCon is the one hobby show in this province you must attend. This model came with another CF-104 which I am currently building and more resin then I will ever use. I think there was parts from at least 4 Starfighters in that big box, but I am only going to get two completed models out of it.

It also helps when you can pick up all the decals you want at the same show. In this case I bought over $100 worth of decals from Canuck decals who also attended the show. A new entry to the Canadian market but boy, he does great work. This model using Canuck decals represents a 441 squadron bird back at the 1976 TAM meet in Europe. After the end of the tactical part of the meet all 5 of the participating Canadian planes had their tails painted white with a big Maple Leaf in the middle holding the letter that plane used during the competition. In my case I chose "D".

The reason I chose "D" 104847 is I already built 104748,104749, 104750 and 104751. I guess the CF-104 must be one of my favourites as I keep building them. Only have two left I want to do so my Phantoms have no worries of being over-taken by numbers.
