The Let Z-37A Čmelák (bumblebee) was developed in the beginning of the 1960s as an agricultural aircraft. But it´s also used for some more purposes. KP offers some more versions, also turboprop versions (civil and military).

My model was made from the new kit from KP. The parts fit well, but the fit between the wings and the fuselage needs a bit of rework.

The kit offers three paint schemes, I chose the relatively simple OK-CKR, because I wanted to show my model in a dirty condition. With the overall yellow painting the dirt is more accented.

Some details I made by myself out of stretched sprue.

I used this helpful website to make the small details: http://www.jhmodels.eu/walk-around-en/z-37-cmelak-en/

The model was painted with colors from Humbrol and Revell (enamels, painted with brush). After I attached the decals (very good quality) I sealed the Čmelák with clear, shiny varnish. After it was dried I painted on the dirt. Therefore I used a sponge and a frayed brush. Finally I sealed the model with clear, flat varnish.

I enjoyed making this model, it brought a new kind of aircraft and a new shape in my collection.
