Hi this is my Lockheed F-80C Shooting Star, from FACH (Chilean Air Force)

This kind of aircraft arrived in Chile in 1958, numbered J-330 (J for Jet) to J-347. This plane was assigned to "Grupo de Aviación Nº 7" (Aviation Group 7) flying together with DH-115 Vampire, from "Los Cerrillos" Airbase and International Airport.

In February 1967, all the surplus F-80C and T-33 was assigned to New "Grupo de Aviación Nº 12" (Aviation Group 12) in the most southest airbase in Chile, Punta Arenas alongside to the Magellan Strait. When this aircraft arrived to his new destination was painted with the path of my kit. The path was similar, but not exactly between the planes. This aircraft was retired from service in 1974.

The Kit that I used is from Airfix, with transformed Tip Tanks, because the Chilean planes used the Fletcher type. The kit is not complex, but the wear between the pieces is not good. The paints used are: Humbrol 119 for brown tones, Humbrol 65 for under surfaces, Humbrol 116 and Humbrol 64.

The Decals I used standard set of Chilean Air Force, and with the help of HPmultimodel (http://www.hpmultimodel.cl) I printed with Testors paper the original badge of Group 12, they have a tiger chasing an aircraft.
