This is a big scale Resin model.
It depics a popular Japanese anime mecha named Z gundam, this version never goes on the anime, but was
the original concept design by Kazumi Fujita, and is
referred to as Hyper Z. The kit weighed 4.5kg, with 500 parts, stands
half a meter tall. This mecha model is quite special, it has a lot of
exaggerated mechanical design, with a lot of dampers, pipes, shocks nuts and
bolts exposed, it is like looking at a overhaut machine, quite busy and bizzare.

Since the kit is extremely heavy,
and resin are brittle, numerous metal rods are required to be added to each
insertion joint.
The resin requires a specific primer
finish to go between the paint and the resin. I used all lacquer based paint.
For the metallic finish, I used gloss and semi gloss black foundation, and Gunze
super metallic. Shadows are artificially added using my airbrush to exaggerate the
effect.
Total work time is 500 hours.
