The Ju 87 G2
“Kanonenvogel” was flown by the mythical German ace "Hans-Ulrich
Rudel”. Due to the fast increase of the Russian armored forces in
the east front, a Ju 87 D-1 was modified with the installation of two Flak
18 antitank 37mm suspended under the wings,
suppressing the light armament and the racks for the transportation
of bombs.
I began
pre-shading the panel lines with black matt. Due to the dark green
color of the primary camouflage, the effect of volume obtained is
very subtle.
After painting
both camouflage colours, and applying a mixture of black and dark green
very diluted on the panel lines to empashize volume, a layer of
“future” was applied, and I came to the positioning of decals.

After another
layer of future I painted the panel lines, with oil paint "umbra
natur" for the inferior part and "zinc" for the rest, mixed
with turpentine spirit. Finally I soiled diverse zones with oil
washes of such colors. Also I applied “Mig” pigments for
wearing down, mainly in the wings and the wheels. The scratches in
the fuselage were made with a brush using aluminum paint. Finally,
the antenna is done with nylon thread painted in metalized and stuck
carefully with cyano.
