This
is a quickie build of the Pioneer2 1/72nd Scale Hawker Sea Fury
FB11.
This kit is not too bad considering its age and whilst I haven't seen
any of the later released kits of this aircraft, this is miles ahead of
the FROG one of which I have a few copies in the cupboard.
The
kit has been built OOB except for the Aussie Decals markings for one of
the two aircraft painted up in the late 50s/early 60s for airshows by
805SQN Royal Australian Navy and based at HMAS Albatross, Nowra, New South
Wales.
The two aircraft, coded 114 and 115, also were shown in a silver
with red trim scheme at one time.

The
kit went together really well and was ready for painting in only 1½ days
and completely finished in about twenty hours of actual work.
I have used Gunze Midnight Blue for the main colour with Gunze Tyre
Black for the tyres and interior and Future for the clear coat.
The aerial on the fin is from stretched sprue. The exhaust steel
area is Gunze Mr Colour Stainless Steel.
This
was done as a kicker to try and get the mojo back into modelling and I think it
has worked, at least I also have finished my Wisconsin ANG F-16C (http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=46396&st=0)
as a result of get back into it after a stressful last two years.
I hope that you enjoy the look of it and as usual critique is welcome.
