1/72 Airfix Lysander

--------------------

Here's my Airfix Lysander, which I bought after seeing the Shuttleworth Collection Lizzie in action last summer.

It's a nice kit, but very, very basic.

I decided to super-detail the cockpit as much as I could, and there's a pretty detailed WIP thread here, http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=149316&hl=lysander, for anyone that'd like to follow it step by step.

I really enjoyed building it, as it was really challenging, but I wouldn't make another! The cockpit was a nightmare to mask off!

It's finished off as a Lysander from 161 (Special Duties) Squadron, RAF Tempsford, 1944. 161 Sq ran perilous moonlit landing and pick ups of Special Operations Executive agents and members of the French Resistance in occupied French territory.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking.

Nick
