This is a new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks is the second 1/32 F-105 decal sheet in a 3 sheet series devoted to the F-105 from Trumpeter.  There are two planes featured on this decal sheet..... both with nudie nose art and painted in a camo scheme of Green FS 34102, Green FS 34079, Tan FS 30219 and Gray FS 36622.
The first aircraft is a F-105D-25-RE "Cherry Girl" of the 357th TFS, 355th TFW out of Takhli, Thailand.

The nose art was created to help give the mid-air refueler boom operators on the tankers a better target for  the boom.......it seems the boom operators were more used to refueling the sluggish B-52's and were having difficulties refueling the F-105.  The image of the girl has been bikini waxed and the triangle is a separate decal that can be left off or applied depending on the particular modeler preference.  This particular aircraft was shot down on June 3 1967.  This aircraft has a MiG-17 kill star on the left side under the canopy.

The second aircraft is an F-105F-1-RE flown by Capt Jim Pepprell of the 357TFS, 355th TFW.  The noseart on this aircraft has the name "Jinkin Josie" which features an attractive topless blonde girl avoiding a missile.  Leo Thorsness flew this aircraft on his Medal of Honor mission on which he also downed a MiG-17.  During it's career this aircraft was also known as "The Moon Lighter" and "Take Her Down".  I like the nose art for both aircraft on this decal sheet......the artwork is well proportioned and attractive and either one would make a very attractive and eye catching F-105.

The decals were flawlessly printed and the clear carrier film is trimmed close to the crisply printed colored areas.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow.  There is 4 pages of instructions in all......3 of them are to the right.  Instructions for decal application are also included in the text instruction sheet.

A very nice product and highly recommended.

I would like to thank Cutting Edge Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
