This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for 2 different B-17's.

The first aircraft is a B-17G-10-DL  42-37736 with the 401st BS, 91st BG.  This aircraft has a B-17F style top turret.  The paint scheme is overall Olive Drab on top and gray on the underside.  Yellow code letters on the rear fuselage read "DF G".  Tail code letter is a black "A" in a white triangle (included as a decal).  Yellow serial numbers on the tail read 237736.  Artwork includes an odd looking red headed fellow with the yellow text "Duke of Paducah".  This aircraft has many, many mission markings.

The second aircraft is a B-17F-75-DL  42-3555 with the 560th BS, 388th BG in the fall of 1943.  The paint scheme is overall Olive Drab on top and gray on the underside.  Tail code letter is a black "?H" in a white square (included as a decal).  Yellow serial numbers on the tail read 23555.  Artwork includes a sharks mouth with eyes. and the red text "Tiger Girl" above the shark's mouth on the nose.  This aircraft has many mission markings.

The decals were flawlessly printed and in perfect registration.  National insignia are not included in the decal sheet but you can buy these from Cutting Edge product # CED48263.

The instructions are clear and include colour drawings to assist in decal placement. There is also 1 and 1/2 pages of text including information about both aircraft.

A very nice decal sheet for anyone building the B-17.

I would like to thank Cutting Edge Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
