I just picked up Academy's 1/32
F/A 18 D Hornet and wanted to do a quick preview; above is the box image.
There are 14 trees for parts, 3 figures trees and separately boxed and bagged
canopy, radome, metal struts and rubber tires. A screwdriver and screws
are also included.

There are 2 decal
sheets; one for the airframe markings and a separate sheet for ordnance stencils
and stripes. All aircraft are USMC; a color VMFA(AW)-225 jet, 2 different
VMFA(AW)-224 Bengals jets and one VMFA(AW)-332 Polka Dots plane.
There looks to be some fine
detail engraved in these parts, especially the main gear wells; the panel lines
are recessed and clean but the canopy does have a fine seam down the middle.
The decals look like they'll go on looking like they were painted as the carrier
film is minimal around the edges of the graphics. This looks to be a fun
build! I ordered my kit from luckymodel
for $52.99 plus shipping.
