Thomas Brόckelt gets things started today with his very cool 1/72 Bird Models Lippisch P.13a first design.  This is a resin kit that Thomas modified to match up with a drawing of the real design.  The finished model looks gorgeous in it's Luftwaffe camo scheme.

David Mielke did a first class job on his 1/48 Trumpeter Wellington Mk.III.  This is a Canadian Wimpy complete with a subtle weathering and custom painted markings for a RCAF Wellington lost during WWII.  David built his model as a salute to bomber crews of WWII.

Serge Dompierre joins us with his great looking 1/48 GMC 6X6 fuel truck and P-51C Mustang.  The fuel truck was a resin conversion of the Tamiya kit and turned out looking excellent.  I quite like the way it looks and Serge's Mustang sets the scene perfectly.

Baran Ηakmak is here with his eye catching 1/144 Revell F/A-18 G "Growler".  This is a tiny F-18 with very well done panel detailing and some very attractive tail art.  It's a treat to see this 1/144 Growler on ARC.

Christos Papadopoulos has done a stunning job on his big beautiful 1/32 Dragon F 51 Mustang F.A.G.  Christos  added plenty of detail to almost every area on his F 51 in Guatemalan markings and a very attractive jungle camo scheme.  I love everything about this Mustang....beautiful work Christos.

Emre Tόzόn did a wonderful job weathering the faded SEA camo on his 1/48 ESCI F-4C "Mig Killer".  This classic kit builds into a great looking Phantom as you will see in Emre's photos.Emre's Phantom is carrying missiles and drop tanks and wears the 2 MiG kill markings on the left side intake area.  I love the sun faded look of the paint on this F-4.

No update today...I had a 13 hour day at work and then came home and restored the discussion forums database and program from back-ups to get it ready for a second try at the upgrade by the Tech support guy.  I remain optimistic.

Alacrαn did a fine job building his very nice looking 1/72 Dream Models AS-365 N2.  Alacrαn added resin parts to modify this AS-365 N1 to N2.  The finished model looks very good in the Chilean markings.

Scott Diamond has done an excellent job on his "A Fistful Of Ferrets" 3 Italeri 1/72 Mig-37 Ferrets.  Scott chose 3 different camo schemes for his MiG-37's and has included a story to go with each model.  They all look great....I love the camo on the 3rd one the most.

Saudi Arabia National Day

Shows this weekend include:

Ermanno Bonafin joins us from Italy with an Air Racer with an Italian connection.  This is his 1/48 Contrails P-51 Strega resin kit combined with modified parts from the Tamiya P-51 to create this attractive looking famous air racer.  Ermanno tell the history behind the pilot and plane and explains the Italian connection.  It's a great looking air racer Ermanno....I love the look of it.

Burt Gustafson is here with a very unique looking 1/48 Hasegawa S35E Draken.  This is the recce version of the Draken finished in a flawless bare metal finish.  It very cool to see the Draken with out camo.  A VERY cool project Burt and it looks excellent...as the younger folks would say..."Cool Beans".

Mali Independence Day

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Dragan Cvetic has taken the classic 1/72 Revell Fiat G.91 and given it some serious love.  Dragan added scratchbuilt cockpit detail and rescribed the panel lines.  Then he added scratchbuilt gun barrels and pitot tube.  The camo scheme he chose is a very attractive one worn by Portuguese G.91's.  This is one sweet looking jet.

David Mielke has made quite the project out of his RCAF 1/48 Tamiya Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IIF.  David upgraded the engine and exhausts to get an accurate RCAF machine and then chose the markings for a very special night fighter.  He tell the story in his article.  The Tamiya kit is a fine kit and David took it to a whole new level.  Lovely job David.

Malta Independence Day

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Carmel J. Attard joins us from Malta on the Malta Independence Day with his 200th model on ARC  This is his beautifully done 1/72 VP Canada Avro CF-105 Arrow Mk1.  This is a vac-u-formed kit of the iconic Arrow and Carmel tackled it with his usual skill to achieve an excellent looking Avro Arrow.  His article tells the history of this famous Canadian interceptor as well as the build process for his model.  Beautiful build Carmel.  

TheRealMrEd has been very busy creating his very special Korean War veteran.  This is his 1/72 Hasegawa Lockheed P2V-3 Neptune that is pretty well modified in every area of his model which took many hours of work and a high degree of skill and commitment.  Once all that work was done, he gave his Neptune a fantastic weathering job to give his model a very realistic look.  It is a treat to see This Neptune on ARC today.

Serge Dompierre is here with the perfect addition to any modern USAF diorama.  This is Serge's 1/48 Kinetic R-11 fuel truck built to a very high standard and parked next to a CF-18 visiting south of the border.  This truck builds up into a  fine looking model as you will see in his photos.  Well done Serge.  The 425 Alouette squadron CF-18 looks sweet as well.

Rod Bettencourt has got the whole cockpit detailing and exterior weathering down to an art forum.  His 1/48 Gallery Models H-34 is finished as a sun faded Marine Corps complete with worn markings and flawless paint fading.....you really need to check out his expect work on this beauty.

Dragan Cvetic has been busy getting everything looking perfect on his 1/72 Zvezda Su-24MK.  Dragan scratchbuilt the cockpit and then gave his Iraqi jet a beautifully faded and weathered paint job to show the effects of the intense mid east sun.  This one is a beauty.

Duncan joins us with the classic 1/72 Airfix Cessna O-2A Skymaster built to a very high standard.  This is an older kit that does require a bit of work, but the results can be exceptional and you can see in Duncan's photos.  Duncan paint the FAC markings with great results.  This certainly looks like the real deal....well done Duncan.

Christos Papadopoulos has done a massive amount of detailing to his 1/32 Trumpeter F4U-1D Corsair.  Christos added full engine and gun bay detail as well as super detailing other areas of his magnificent VF-84 Corsair and then finished it off with a fantastic shading and weathering job.  Very impressive work Christos.

Shawn "phantom'' Weiler is here with one of the cooler looking US bicentennial paint schemes.  This is his modified 1/48 Hasegawa Hybrid Phantom #186 wearing the very attractive looking bald eagle bicentennial VX-4 paint scheme.  Shawn was kind enough to also add a photo of his wall of Phantoms....wow wow wow...so many Phantoms...I love it.

David Mielke is here with his flawless looking 1/48 Academy MH-60G Pave Hawk.  David dressed his Pave Hawk in desert camo and finished it with a subtle weathering job.  This is one sweet looking chopper and I love the camo and weathering job...it just looks perfect.

Jim Court is here with two great looking 1/72 Special Hobby Lockheed 18 in early airline markings in Canada, including 1 that flew in the Yukon.  Jim dressed them up with Antenna wire to get them looking as realistic as possible.  Both of them are beauties.

Jim Court is here with 4 of his 1/48 Modelcraft Norseman models in a variety of markings.  Jim added complete scratchbuilt interiors with seats, seatbelts, throttle quadrant and engine controls and more.  Jim's models are beautifully photographed in their natural surroundings.

Richard Spreckley has gone to town detailing his 1/48 Airfix Blackburn Buccaneer S2B.  Richard added the Noemega cockpit set as well as Flightpath photo etch and scratchbuilt an engine, bombbay and wheels wells before giving his Bucc a stunning desert camo.  I'm very impressed at the level of detail and quality Richard was able to do on this Airfix Bucc.

Fernando Dias began with the 1/48 Ocidental Fiat G-91 R/3 and added layer upon layer is amazing scratchbuilt detail.  This model was opened up and then detailed further...it really is amazing the level of detail on this model.  Enjoy each and every photo. 

Shalom Hen joins us from Israel with his beautifully weathered 1/48 Hasegawa Bf-109E4/N Trop.  This 109 is in the attractive desert camo from North Africa in 1942.  The weathering is very well done and brings this fighter to life.  Excellent work indeed.

Mohammad Adl has done a stunning job superdetailing his 1/48 Revell Chinook hc. Mk.1.  Mohammad chose the very attractive camo worn by the Iranian Chinooks and finished it with the perfect amount of weathering.

Burt Gustafson got everything looking flawless on his 1/72 Hasegawa F-15E Strike Eagle.  Burt loaded his Strike Eagle with drop tanks, bombs and missiles to reflect the multi purpose role this aircraft performs.  It's a sweet looking Eagle Burt!!

Christos Papadopoulos is here from Greece with his fantastic looking 1/32 Trumpeter P-40B Tomahawk RAF Christos added extra detail and gave his model an amazing weathering job to bring his model to life.  I love this P-40 and I know you will too.

Dragan Cvetic has done a first class job weathering his 1/72 HobbyBoss Rafale C.  Dragan detailed the cockpit with scratchbuilt parts and then finished his Rafale in French markings with a flawless weathering job.  Beautifully done Dragan.

Carmel J Attard is here with a beautifully done 1/72 Rareplanes Douglas A2D-1 Skyshark.  This was a very rare design that never made it into production and Carmel has the full story in his article.  This is a vac-u-formed model and Carmel explains the build process in very helpful detail.  I love the look of his finished model....Carmel does amazing work.

Waldemar Pupar is here with his 20th model on ARC Air.  This is his beautifully finished 1/72 Matchbox Fiat G-91Y.  Waldemar finished his Fiat jet in Italian markings and did an excellent job on the painting and decaling and weathering.  I love the look of the markings and camo....it looks excellent.

Dragan Cvetic has done an excellent job weathering his 1/72 Revell J-35F Draken.  Dragan added seatbelts to the cockpit then shaded the panel lines to give his Draken a very nicely weathered look.  Another beautiful model from a very skilled ARC'er.

David Mielke is here to make the Spitfire crowd happy.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.Vb finished using decals and painted markings for an RCAF Biggen Hill Spit.  David weathered his Spitfire to give it a more realistic look.  It's a sweet looking model David.

Tolga άlgόr is here with his 1/48 Monogram B-26 Marauder Part 2.  In this part Tolga does the painting and weathering and finishes his sharks mouth Marauder to a very high standard.  Outstanding work Tolga.

Alacrαn is here with a very special model.  This is the 1/72 Mach 2 MD 200 Falcon finished as a Chilean Navy VIP transport using a short run kit.  Alacrαn's work on this one if excellent.
